Steps to turning your recipes into a cookbook:
Step 1 - Preparation of recipes: Start with the end in mind. Every decision you make
must work towards making the cookbook a success. Look through your recipes.
Pick only the ones that work very well and have a high chance of success for your
reader. Categorise your recipes and see if a theme emerges. Eg. if your recipes are mostly
cupcakes, you can publish a book on cupcakes.
Recipes must be your own and not to be copied from other cookbooks.
Have at least 20 recipes.
Spend some time to come up with a suitable book title.
Try to include recipe tips for every recipe. Readers will appreciate the tips because these
help increase their chances of succeeding at preparing your food.
Step 2 – Contact us: Call us at 9633 8293, write an email (sales@boostprints.com) to us,
or fill up the form at the bottom of this page, detailing the book title and recipes, then
click the button 'Submit'. We will then call you to arrange a photography session.
Step 3 - Photography: Cook/bake/prepare your food for photography. It is best to
present the food on plain or white ceramic plates, as these give the food a more
appealing appearance. Call us to arrange a photography session at AsianBakes
Culinary Studio (address: 6, Eu Tong Sen St, The Central, B1-43, Singapore 059 817.
At the end of the photography session, a non-refundable payment of S$280 will be
collected from you.
Step 4 - Designing: Photo-adjustment, editing of your recipes, book designing and
layout will take between one to two weeks to complete. After which, a meeting will be
arranged with you to show you the photos and the book layout/design. (The photos
and book design shall remain the property of Boostprints Educational.)
Step 5 – Downpayment: Upon confirmation of order, a 50% downpayment (minus the
previous payment of S$280) of the total price will be collected from you.
Step 6 – Delivery: After the books are printed, they will be delivered to your place.
Upon delivery, the remaining 50% of the payment is required. (The actual printing of
your cookbook may take between one to two months. If you have a deadline to launch
your cookbooks, it is best to start preparation early.)
